NRV Trail Riders

The purpose of NRV Trail Riders is to increase interest and educate the public of the recreational benefits of horses and trail riding in Southwest Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina, and to promote safe and responsible trail riding of horse companions.  NRV Trail Riders organizes various trail rides and hosts competitive trail competitions through an affiliate membership with the American Competitive Trail Horse Association (ACTHA).  The club intends to assist in the maintenance of existing trails and promote the creation of new horse trails throughout the southwest region of Virginia, including New River Valley.  We abide by the philosophy of "Leave Only Hoofprints". 

We promote the development of relationships with organizations and individuals of similar interest.   We insist on the humane treatment of horses of any breed, color, or horse discipline.

There are two kinds of membership, single and family.  The annual cost of a single membership is $20.00 and a family membership costs $30.00.  Membership runs from the first of January through the end of December the same year.  Those who wish to join after the first six months of the year shall be entitled to a pro-rated membership fee equal to 50% of the annual membership fee.  Therefore, those joining after June of the current year shall pay $10.00 for single membership and $15.00 for a family membership.  (Family Membership is limited to those living or residing in the same household, and considered immediate family members up to six family members per membership - i.e. Mother, Father, child, stepchild, or legal dependent or guardian).

Registration on this website does not register you for membership.  

To join NRV Trail Riders Club, simply print out and complete the Membership Application Form below and mail it, along with your check or money order (please do not send cash through the mail) to us.
